He's a bit full of himself, this “Magic Painter” chap. Who does he think he is? God?
Not particularly impressed with his rendition of a Honey Bee at 1:39…
2 things:
1. don't show this to any religious types they think the world was made by God
2. The duck
'One touch of my brush made the birds do fly'.
Interesting to see some of his propotype creations such as the 2 ft tall school children and the 5 inch woman with baby. Is it me or does Eve have a moustache at 2:02?
That spinning paint board thing is actually quite impressive though.
why does god look so sleazy?
He did the 10 Commandments in Comic Sans
Very funny.
I had always imagined Our Lord wearing an Alwyn Crawshaw style Breton cap when he painted Creation, turns out it was abright red beret.
I love his expression at around 0:38. A smug finger-raise followed quickly by a modest head-shake instantly downplaying his achievement of everything being his own idea and himself being the reason why.
The spinning paint board is the one single effect that doesn't look like a poor blue-screen or default video transition, the way they did it though is they had him toss it like a Frisbee and they played it in reverse.
“Pretty Ladies and babies are his specialities” (1:31) – weirdly, I also think that that's where that passage can be found in the bible… Genisis 1:31 (coincidence?)
Playyyyaaaa!
He's my next door neighbour.
