A short while ago, the BBC kindly asked if they could animate some of my Timewaster Phone Calls. Luckily I had just finished a brand new series of calls made when I received a very dodgy-looking letter, claiming I’d won over 600,000 Euros in the Spanish Lottery. All I had to do was phone a ‘Mr Don Luis Lopez’. So I did…

The first one starts today on the BBC Comedy site, and a new one will go up each day for a week. Read here first.

Feel free to check in each day.

A big thanks to Joseph Pierce for his fantastic Cooper-esque animations.

Holy crap, that's awesome! Looking forward to it, Robert. Congrats!

Haha! That was hilarious. The images really add to it, too. Possibly my favourite Cooper call so far! So many priceless moments. Wonderful.

Also, I can't believe that there is a guy willing to just con people like that. I'm amazed that they actually answer the phone and are so brazen.

Thanks!

Yes, certainly some form of recompense indeed!

What genius, hysterical phone call, and rather interesting to hear such a con in play, and such beautiful animation to boot.
Brilliant.

So sweetly mean (although the fellow most definitely deserved it!)

Thanks so much.

Hahaha brilliant, can't believe the tit stayed on the phone so long!

Great to see you turning your talents into 419 scammer territory and wasting the time of people who'd otherwise be using it to rip people off. Keep it up.

Brilliant. Had to replay it cause I missed things while I was laughing. I want to share the video on facebook, but I can't figure out how. *frustration*

Thanks. If you go to the BBC site and find it you can click on Embed Code, and copy the code and then paste it in. I think….

I still gasp at the story of the Aerial Photographs. I almost fell out of bed it was so funny.

Am I the only person who thinks this is a little cruel? . The people at Spanish lottery work very hard and the last thing they need is time wasters bunging up their system with prank calls.

Brilliant! Nice work!

Too funny, he seemed genuinely flustered when asking for your ears (attention)…..
