The doctor will see you now

One of the most charming adverts I’ve ever seen. So much to look – and listen – out for….

My best bits:
* 0:32 – When the phone starts ringing. And doesn’t stop
* 2:08 – When the other bloke suddenly starts talking. And the fact that he has a really loud voice
* 3:00 – The fade out while the guy’s talking
* The seriously bleak ending

What have you spotted?

So sweet. I wish all adverts were like this.

Is this what a Mike Leigh advert would like?

I love the way the older guy just sits really still and doesn't blink whilst the one with the loud voice talks.

After all the tedious details, the “…and so on” at 0.54 does not sound convincing at all.

1.37 'the best microscope in the world'

2.36 'truly an open nursing home with an open concept for the operation theatres' – which sounds like crowd sourced surgery, 'hey anyone know how where the pancreas is?'

“The best microscopes in the world.”

At 1:02, the man's shadow appears to move independently of his body! I guess somebody moves the key light!
Also, what on Earth is that shadow over the bed at the end? It looks like a ghost bending over the bed!

When he says '1960' and then adds '2' after a beat at around 0.14 secs.

I pray to Gilgamesh that Pixar are going to be making 'Wanko: The Greatest Microscope in the World'… or whatever it is the good doctor said (the one that looks like George Melly, not the John Landis/Gerry Adams dude)

Tell you what they don’t have.  A receptionist.

But they have a bed and some water.  And that’s enough, damn it.

The ending was like summit from Silent Hill.
