An instant, modern classic

Wow. This trailer for Irish martial arts movie, ‘Final Deviation’ is something so, so, um…special?

My fave lines? Probably: “How did it go in Hong Kong?” and – of course – “But what about Nicola?!”

You were right, @AstonishingSod, you did strike the mother lode.

Good God.

It's a bit like when Jessica Fletcher visits her Irish friends but more martial artsy.

Wait. The guy at 1:23. Wasn't he in Titanic? isn't he the guy who got shot by the deck officer?

“You made me look bad, and that's not good!” is right up there with the opening line.

This was a REAL movie?

Notice the guy from Boyzone? Brilliant

“you made me look bad, and that's not good.”
If this is fake, they've done quite well to make it seem real but bad but not intending to be bad…you know what I mean.

What the fuck was that!

My favourite caption: “Experience it in IMAX”

Still better than Jason Statham's last 10 films.

It's definitely fake isn't it? The first caption says “The following fake preview has been approved…”

Watched the whole thing recently. It's readily available on torrents. Incredibly, the guy from BoyZone is the best actor in it.

“Now look here! I don't think the girl needs help to cross the road…” AMAZING. It's almost exactly like the first fight scene in the Van Damme movie Hard Target as well.

Also, the more professional sounding voiceover and music “He can hear it before it happens…” etc, is ripped straight from the trailer for Daredevil. Stunning.

I like the bit near the end (of the trailer) where he just chucks someone over the wall.

This film is definitely real (although the trailer is fake). It's Ireland's first full-length martial arts film and was produced in 1998. I watched it myself. I would certainly recommend it alongside a bunch of other low budget films I've seen that don't even seem to have their own trailer!

saw this ages ago. everyone i know is obsessed with it. its the most hilarious awful and amazing film i've ever seen. Plus the already famous fella from boyzone is in it. Must have lost a bet or something. I don't understand very much about this film but i love it so
