Another one of my misguided phone calls that doesn’t really go anywhere, but still…

Ah well…

Several years ago I called talk radio station, LBC, with a problem I’d been having with my shelves…

I love LBC. They’re all really good sports. No idea why I called myself ‘Sinclair’ though.

Seriously. I have been trying for over a year to talk live to Archbishop Gilbert Deya on my favourite crazy channel, Deya Broadcasting Network (DBN). And not only did I talk to him, I sang to him.

If you remember, I’ve written and blogged about DBN quite a bit in the past. Anyway, here is the result. (Gilbert D is on the left).

I just love it when Deya blatantly signals for them to end the call. And they just keep me on. Everyone seemed happy in the end, though. Probably me the most.

But can you believe that my phone call ended up in the Financial Times? And on the BBC show The Bubble (14 mins 15 secs in to be precise). And The Telegraph and The Sun. And animated by a Hong Kong news channel…

Always believe the news.

Here’s me and Tim Heidecker completing a trilogy of silly calls. If you heard Sandblasted and We Share a Brain, well this one is even more juvenile. I mean, really juvenile. Anyway, we had lots of fun…

Don’t know why my grandfather voice was the same as my Margaret Thatcher one, but ho hum…

OK, the other day I posted a silly phone call I made with the very silly Tim Heidecker (’We Share a Brain‘). Well, here’s another one we did that night.

I should warn you that this call might be a bit crap, but for some reason it makes me laugh. Maybe it’s the sheer weirdness and pointlessness of it all – plus Tim’s voice is amazing.

I’ve just come back from LA, where I saw a lot of my buddy, Tim Heidecker of the amazing Tim and Eric. We’ve always talked of making silly phone calls together, and the other night we had a go.

So, are you ready for maximum infantilism…?
